Hill Barn was once one of the main farm buildings on the Oxlease farmstead (described under Oxlease House). In the late 1940’s the farmhouse was bought by Norman Lawrence and his wife Marjorie, known as Madge, (nee Fisher). Norman Lawrence died in 1969 and Madge sold the property in 1974.
The barn with yard and access onto the Arch Road on the south end of the property was converted to residential use by 1980 and is now known as Hill Barn.
