Number Four at Stow (Farmers Arms)

This property was originally a public house known as the Farmers Arms and was conveniently situated near to Stow-on-the-Wold railway station. The railway line from Cheltenham to Kingham was closed in 1963 but the Farmers Arms continued as a favourite “local”. In recent years, the property has been enlarged in various stages to provide accommodation. Under changing ownership, it has been known as the Roman Court Hotel, Per Amici and is now Number Four at Stow.

The photograph below is circa 1910.
