In 1898 the Chamberlayne Family sold Maugersbury Manor to fund the building of this property which was finished in 1901 and named Hyde House. The house remained a private residence until the 1950s but since the late 1950s the property was run as a hotel, known as Fosse Manor Hotel, owned for 30 of those years by Bob and Yvonne Johnston who bought it in 1971. Having reverted to the name of Hyde House, the property is now a popular venue for weddings, private events and parties.
To the side of Hyde House is Hyde Barn, the spacious event venue.
