The particulars of the Maugersbury Manor Estate Sale in 1898 show Oxlease Farm as being 186 acres with a farmhouse (Oxlease House), farm buildings and one farm labourer’s cottage, i.e., 4 The Crescent, the entire holding being let to Mrs Lane. The tenancy was taken over by Charles Fisher in 1903 and after his death in 1930 the tenancy was continued by his wife Christianna Charlotte Fisher and son Arthur John Fisher until 1946.
The Fisher family, as well as running the traditional mixed farm, were also livestock dealers frequently buying and selling livestock locally and at markets such as Gloucester and Banbury.
In the 1946 Sale of the Outlying Portions of the Maugersbury Estate, the Oxlease farm land was sold separately from Oxlease House. By 1948, Oxlease Farm had been bought by the Lee family and farmed together with Manor Farm. Oxlease Farm (post-1948) is described under the Manor Farm heading.
